Erasmus+ General Information

Erasmus+ is designed to exchange academic experience with the help of study, traineeship, teaching and training mobility. Besides simplifying the administrative procedures, Erasmus+ comes with a series of novelty within the actions. Therefore, besides the mobility designed for the academic staff, students and recent graduates, now the program offers support for the transnational partnerships in the domain of education, including HEI but also private organizations.

Starting with the year 2014, this Program has a new contentunder the name of Erasmus+ (EU Program for education, training, youth and sport) and will be implemented until 2020. This new Program contains all the 7 EU previously financed.

Within the Erasmus+ Program, there are three actions (Key Actions):

Key Action 1 (KA1) – individual mobility – which addresses to:

  • Students – study and traineeship mobility
  • Academic staff – teaching staff (teaching) and non – teaching staff (training)
  • Volunteers, youth – exchange projects , EVS (European Volunteering Service)

Key Action 2 (KA2) –cooperation for innovation and good practices –establishes international cooperation between two or more HEi and research institutes.

Key Action 3 (KA3) Support for policy reform – designed for EU- nongovernmental organisations (ENGO) and European organisation network in the domain of education and youth.
